Friday March 3rd
Chatsworth Park and Beeley
Today called for a flat, familiar walk, with a nice coffee shop at the start. So we drove to Baslow, visited The Café on the Green and then walked from Chatsworth to Beeley and back. As ever, the first section is lovely. We spotted a heron:

Sheep and (in the far distance) deer were in abundance.
The village of Beeley is very pretty- clearly full of estate houses from Chatsworth- we were taken with Pig Lane and the evidence of pigsties. We sat in the churchyard and ate lunch and then meandered back to the start.
