Edale, Hollins Cross, Lose Hill and Hope Cross
Monday's forecast was brilliant so we went off to Edale to make the most of
the weather. After walking up to Hollins Cross, we followed The Great Ridge to
Back Tor and Lose Hill in the company of many other walkers.

However, after Lose Hill the crowds fell away and we completed the rest of our
walk with very little company. We dropped down to Hope and then up to Wooler
Knoll as normal, admiring the clear and dramatic vistas to the left.

At Wooler Knoll, the sheep had made considerable inroads into the hay stook

As it was nearing 2pm, we ate our lunch listening to the result of the SNP
leadership contest and we were relieved that Humza won. After this we went back
to Edale via Crookstone Barn and Jaggers Clough.

As we passed the Youth Hostel, we spotted a minibus from Lewisham- a major change of scenery for the students at the academy.

There were a few early lambs of varying colours and some lovely daffodils.

Altogether a fantastic day out at the start of a pretty damp week. 10 Miles, 670m ascent, 10h15.
