Dove Stone, The Chew Reservoir and Alphin
We made our way over to a favourite location, the Dove Stone Reservoir. While Jacinta had a pleasant low-level walk beside the reservoirs, David made his way up the tarmaced Chew Road to the reservoir. Not the most inspiring path in itself, but the view ahead gives a feel for the walk yet to come.

The reservoir, when reached, was beginning to regress from the full state that we'd seen it at on our last walk.

Once above the reservoir and walking westwards above the road, the views open up.

The previous (first!) time that we'd done this walk, it had been very misty and we'd not been able to see the views and the various rock artefacts, which were typical gritstone with some great wind erosion.

Lunch was taken at the shelter beside the trig point at Alphin before taking in the view of the Dove Stone and Yeoman Hey Reservoirs.
